The war in Ukraine is disrupting lives of children and their families every day. To protect children affected by the war, SOS Children's Villages has expanded its services in Ukraine and its neighboring countries. The teams of SOS Children’s Villages work tirelessly and under tough conditions to deliver much-needed help. The Russian attacks on the electricity network combined with the long and cold winter, leaves many families without protection from the winter weather. With the help of the Bennink Foundation, SOS Children's Villages will further expand its delivered assistance by supporting vulnerable families with a support package to get them through the winter. These winter packages provide families with a stove, a carbon monoxide detector, blankets, and a power bank. These items are desperately needed as winter temperatures in Ukraine can drop to -20 degrees Celsius. SOS Children’s Villages remains committed to providing children and families from Ukraine with food, money, housing, winter needs and psychological support. |
